The Caravonica Terminal can be easily accessed by Skyrail’s coach transfer service or day tour transfer. For those who wish to drive themselves, the terminal has ample car parking space.

The open, breezy terminal is designed in a traditional Queenslander style of architecture with wide verandahs and open access areas, making it easy to access the Skyrail’s ticketing and boarding pass collection point.

Before boarding you may wish to stroll through Skyrail’s rainforest themed souvenir shop and pick-up an extra roll of film or refreshing cold drink. For those who prefer coffee there’s a balcony refreshment area serving freshly brewed coffee and light food snacks (Please note food and drink cannot be consumed in the gondolas).

Once you’ve collected your boarding pass, and made sure you have enough film, you’re ready to commence your Skyrail adventure. As you prepare to board the cableway you will be greeted by friendly, attentive cableway attendants who will explain the first leg of your journey and assist you into a gondola cabin

Your rainforest journey begins as your gondola glides over sclerophyll woodlands before revealing the splendour of the World Heritage listed tropical rainforest with its dense canopy and magnificent array of flora and fauna.

As you ascend the McAlister Range you’ll enjoy spectacular views of tropical Cairns and the Coral Sea (you can even see Green Island and the fringes of the Great Barrier Reef) before gently descending to your first stop at Red Peak Station.
