Planning your Skyrail Experience
Hours of Operation
Skyrail operates daily except Christmas Day and during preventative maintenance, from 9:00am – 5.15pm.
Skyrail operates in Barron Gorge National Park, and is therefore unable to operate at night. However, for special events it is possible to extend Skyrail’s hours of operation during daylight, for a set fee.

Trip Timings
A one-way Skyrail experience takes 1½ hours, while a return Skyrail experience takes approximately 2½ hours.
These timings comprise approximately 45 minutes travelling time on the cableway in each direction, and approximately 20 minutes at each of Skyrail’s two rainforest mid-stations.

Loading Passengers
Skyrail’s 114 gondola cabins comfortably seat up to six guests, giving Skyrail the capacity to cater for the largest conference group or the most intimate party.
Your group will be booked into a 15-minute time allocation; during normal operating conditions, Skyrail can load 80-100 guests per 15-minute allocation.
