Wet Tropics World Heritage Poster Competition
To help celebrate 20 Years of the Wet Tropics World Heritage Area, Skyrail and the Wet Tropics Management Authority (WTMA) conducted a Wet Tropics Poster Competition earlier this year.
The competition closed on Friday 1st August with a diverse range of very creative entries received.
At this time, Skyrail Rainforest Cableway and WTMA would like to congratulate everyone who entered.
Of the more than 260 entries, eight finalists have been selected including a People's Choice.
These finalists (pictured below) will be displayed at Cairns Regional Gallery from 12th September until 10th October 2008 in the Education Room.
Initially, the major prize for the competition was a return experience for one class on Skyrail Rainforest Cableway. In recognition of the number and quality of entries, Skyrail has extended their prize to two return class trips and a family pass. Each age category judged will receive a Skyrail prize. Winners will be announced at Cairns Regional Gallery on 19th September 2008 by Skyrail's Managing Director, Dr Ken Chapman.
Congratulations to everyone who entered the Wet Tropics poster competition: we hope you enjoy the finalists' artworks.
