Ranger - Part Time

Duties will include:

  • Undertake environmental maintenance tasks for all Skyrail grounds, facilities and rainforest tracks
  • Deliver interesting and informative interpretation of Wet Tropics World Heritage rainforests
  • Cableway Attendant/Operator duties as required
  • Working at height

The successful applicant will have the following key attributes and skills:

  • Demonstrated experience in conservation and land management, horticulture, or landscaping
  • Superior customer service and presentation
  • Experience in delivering exceptional interpretation preferred but not essential
  • Sound knowledge of tropical rainforest ecology

 This position will suit an energetic person looking for work in an outdoor environment.  Work on weekends and public holidays will be required.

BRAND AND COMMUNICATIONS MANAGER    

Duties will include:

  • Management of Skyrail brand across all internal and external communications.
  • Design, coordination and procurement of collateral items, display materials, brochures and advertising placements.
  • Creation of media releases, copy and award submissions.
  • Host media visits and tourism industry familiarisations.
  • Various Public Relations activities.

  The successful applicant will have the following key attributes and skills:

  • Appropriate tertiary qualifications are desirable, as is previous experience in a similar role. 
  • Excellent time, staff and stakeholder management skills.
  • Exacting standards and strong attention to detail are essential.
  • Experience with brand management across websites/apps, printed collateral, signage and graphic design and media communications.
  • Experience in desktop publishing and CMS software would be an advantage.

This hands on role, requires some work on weekends and public holidays.

Administration Officer
Part Time (negotiable hours) 

Due to an internal promotion we are seeking an experienced Administration Officer. The successful applicant will provide high level admin support to the General Manager and Managing Director, maintain our knowledge base and work closely with our management team on a range of projects.

This position will suit someone with a solid background in Administration and PA/EA roles. You will have advanced Microsoft Office skills and experience with diary management, minute taking and report collation. You will value confidentiality above all else and will be organised and self-motivated. Attention to detail is essential.

A flexible and proactive mindset will see you succeed in this exciting role. Hours are negotiable and will be discussed at interview.

 Ski Lift Mechanical Fitter - Full Time

This is an opportunity to assist with the maintenance of the cableway and all associated plant and equipment. 

Duties will include but are not limited to:

  • Undertaking planned maintenance tasks
  • Proactively monitoring equipment and undertaking fault finding and repair activities
  • Working to maintenance department systems and completing documentation and records as required 
  • Undertaking regular height training 

The successful applicant will have the following key attributes and skills:

  • Mechanical fitting trade experience. Previous ski lift knowledge is preferred
  • Must be prepared to work at height.
  • The ability to work autonomously following strict operational procedures.
  • The ability to follow and adhere to company safety policies and procedures.
  • Dual electrical/mechanical fitting trades would be advantageous.

A current driver's licence is required. The position requires rotation across different rosters, some of which will include working on weekends, public holidays and nights. Cableway specific and height training will be provided.

Housekeeper - Part Time

Duties will include:

  • Public area, facility and back of house cleaning
  • Maintaining superior standards of cleanliness 
  • Cableway Attendant duties as required

The successful applicant will have the following key attributes and skills:

  • Housekeeping experience in a 5-star operation
  • Superior customer service skills
    • An eye for detail
    • The ability to work unsupervised in an extremely busy work environment
    • Willing to be a positive & active member of the Housekeeping team

Rosters will include some evening, public holiday and weekend work.  Current drivers licence and own transport are essential.
