Assistant Operations Manager (Safety Advisor) - Full Time

Skyrail is a unique rainforest attraction that has built on its success to become a world leader in sustainable tourism and delivery of exceptional visitor experiences.

We are seeking a highly motivated, committed and hands-on individual who will be responsible for supporting the Operations Manager by supervising efficient operation of a 7.5km cableway and coaching a team to deliver world-class customer service.

A rich and multi-faceted role, the Assistant Operations Manager also coordinates Skyrail’s evacuation planning and heights training activities and takes a leading role in managing the company’s safe work systems and culture.

The role would suit somebody with qualifications and experience in workplace health and safety who is keen to grow as a leader and work closely with both customers and operations. 

Positional requirements:

This position is a hands-on role and will require some work on weekends and public holidays. Remuneration will be negotiated with the successful applicant based on experience.

Reservations Consultant - Part Time

Duties will include:

  • Processing  reservations & ticketing  transactions
  • Upselling product
  • General administration duties
  • Providing outstanding customer service

  The successful applicant will have the following key attributes and skills:

  • Superior customer service skills
  • Excellent telephone manner
  • Attention to detail
  • Cash handling experience
  • The ability to work unsupervised in a high paced work environment

Work on weekends and public holidays will be required.  Experience using a reservations system would be an advantage.

Cableway Operator - Part Time 

Cableway Operators are responsible for operating the cableway at each of Skyrail’s four stations, achieving a high quality of guest experience, station presentation and activity.

No previous Cableway Operator experience is necessary as extensive training will be provided.

The successful applicant will have the following key attributes:

  • Superior customer service and communications skills
  • Excellent presentation and a good work ethic
  • Sound mechanical ability and aptitude

Rosters will include weekends and public holidays. A current drivers licence and own transport is essential as you will be required to report to Smithfield or Kuranda.  A willingness and ability to participate in the company’s heights training programme is desirable.
