Skyrail Rainforest Cableway

The start of December marks the beginning of the green season in Tropical North Queensland.

It is this time of the year when the rainforest truly begins to flourish. The incoming rainfall will refresh our rivers and waterfalls, revitalising hundreds of thousands of plants and spreading life back into the anceint rainforest.

The magical green season has begun.

A moment of calm intercepting an otherwise wild landscape. Barron River is one of the many beautiful sights of your Skyrail experience. 🍃

This river, known as Bibhoora in the local Indigenous language, has long been an icon of Kuranda Village and is also home to a number of snappy freshwater crocodiles 🐊

Thank you to everyone who joined us for Tropical Tree Day 2019!

As a part of our ongoing partnership with Cairns Regional Council and Pacific Toyota Cairns, Tropical Tree Day was another fantastic success with 600 native trees planted at Arthur Strike Park in Edmonton.

This year was especially important as Arthur Strike Park has been selected as the location for a flying-fox care and release enclosure that will assist bat carers to manage rehabilitated animals back into the wild.

Did you join us for a morning of tree-planting, sausage sizzles, face painting and valuable environmental information? Tag yourselves in the photos!

We look forward to seeing you all again next year!
