Family Friendly Cairns Tour
Sharing experiences with family is one of the top reasons people choose to visit Skyrail. This family-friendly attraction is suited to people of all ages and abilities. Skyrail accommodates wheelchairs, prams and strollers which can travel either in the gondola with you or in one behind to give you more space and comfort. The boardwalks and lookouts (with the exception of lookout three at Barron Falls) are all wheelchair and stroller accessible. A complimentary educational quiz sheet for children is available on check in at Skyrail, which will help kids learn more about the ancient environment which surrounds them.
There is no set length of time to spend at Skyrail so you can take it at your own pace, we recommend guests allow at least 1.5 hours for a one-way journey. You could, of course, spend many hours exploring the two stations, Red Peak and Barron Falls, where you can enjoy a ranger guided tour as part of your ticket price and also, the CSIRO state of the art Rainforest Interpretative Centre which has touch tables and a microscope which children find fascinating.
